Maxxon pontoons are made of premium-grade, heavy-duty, 0.9 mm, 1100 denier PVC. This material offers extreme strength and protection against abrasion. The inner construction of this material is comprised of specialized layering, involving 36-ounce, 77-pound-tear-strength polyester fabric, providing dimensional stability and tensile durability, throughout the entire material. The sections of black colored material are additional layers of this same 1100-D PVC, which are thermal-welded to the top and bottom of each tube, called chafing pads or chafing layers. These added chafing layers help strengthen each pontoon, and protect against abrasion caused by rubbing on rocks, boat launches, and attached frames.
Maxxon pontoons are lightweight and extremely portable, making them highly desirable for a multitude of applications, and their reputation for durability offers peace of mind. Maxxon inflatable pontoons have been used to create barges, fishing, swimming, and dive platforms, gold dredges, and much more. Their air chambers offer floatation security, while high-quality Leafield air-valves assist in easy inflation/deflation, and reliability.
